The ZB-B is a laboratory whiteness tester intended for measuring brightness, whiteness and related optical properties. Listed sample types and industries include rice, flour and other foods, paper, cardboard, textiles, coatings, chemical building materials, plastics, cement, salt, ceramics and cosmetics.
Supported measurement functions include ISO brightness R457, fluorescent whiteness, tristimulus value Y10, opacity, transparency, light-scattering coefficient, optical absorption coefficient and ink absorption value. The optical system uses simulated D65 illumination and d/0 illumination/viewing geometry.
Its integrating sphere is specified at 150 mm in diameter, with a 30 mm test aperture and a light absorber intended to reduce the influence of specular reflection. The operating interface consists of a large color touchscreen with English prompts, measurement results and statistical information.
An integrated thermal printer provides ink-free result printing, while the RS232 interface supports communication with computer software. Power-off protection is stated to retain valid data.
