The LX310 is a compact, pen-style water quality tester designed for tap water, purified water, bottled water, groundwater, surface water classified as non-sewage, and other drinking-water samples.

It measures six indicators simultaneously: chemical oxygen demand (COD), total organic carbon (TOC), UV275 ultraviolet absorption, total dissolved solids (TDS), electrical conductivity (EC), and temperature.

COD, TOC, and UV275 are measured using a UV absorbance method, while TDS and conductivity are obtained through conductivity measurement between the electrodes. No test reagents are required. Results are shown on a 1.14-inch, 240 × 135 TFT color display.

Supported measurement ranges are 0–100 mg/L for COD, 0–100 mg/L for TOC, 0–1.0 au/cm for UV275, 0–2000 ppm for TDS, 0–4000 µS/cm for EC, and 0–50°C for temperature. The instrument measures approxima ge is 0–50°C.

Storage conditions are -10–60°C and 0–85% RH without condensation. UV275 may be used as an indirect indication related to residual chlorine, but this instrument does not identify or quantify specific heavy metals, bacteria, or individual chemicals.
